You are going to absolutely love this marinade. It is so simple to make and you probably have most the ingredients already on hand. The savoriness of the coconut aminos, the sweetness from the orange, and the flavor from the dried seasonings make the perfect paring.

When testing this recipe I wanted to see what meat it was good on and it turns out it's good on everything! My husbands favorite was the chicken and my favorite was the pork. My husband said he surprised himself because chicken is usually his least favorite meat, but this marinade made it so flavorful that he preferred it over everything else.

The marinade keeps the meat so juicy and moist! It makes enough for 1 ½-2 pounds of meat, but can easily be doubled or tripled. This is low FODMAP, but if you don't need it to be then you can add some garlic powder to it instead of the oil.

The meat needs to marinade for a minimum of 30 minutes, but I like to make it the day before and let it sit overnight. I know planning doesn't always happen that far ahead, but I actually find it easier to have it prepped ahead. It is still so good with just 30 minutes though!

The steak was good, but we are steak purists and usually just do salt and pepper. But if you're looking to switch it up and want to add more flavor, this works great!

Jessica, this is so good! I have made it with chicken and pork tenderloin. Both so delicious! But the pork tenderloin is a family favorite. I have made it three times in the last week and a half! I get it marinating in the morning, so dinner is basically done! Love it!

I put this on tri-tip over the weekend and it was amazing! Marinated for 8 hours in the fridge then cooked in the oven. I got so many compliments from my dinner guests! 🙂

This looks amazing! What can I substitute for coconut aminos? No allergies to soy. Also can I use fresh herbs instead? If so, what would be the quantity? Eager to try this, thanks so much!

Hi Caroline- I don't really suggest anything as a substitution. Coconut aminos are unique and add great flavor. I don't recommend soy, even if there isn't an allergy. It's not healthy, tastes much different, and is much saltier. As for the fresh herbs, yes, of course! Just double the dried quantities. I hope you try it!

Outstanding marinade! My entire family devoured the marinated chicken thighs, so this marinade is now a staple in my frig! Question: how long do you think the marinade will keep? I was thinking of doubling the batch since I'm now using it weekly. :).

Thanks, Deanna! I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed it! I think it should last about 1 week in the fridge. There isn't anything in it that would go bad, so maybe longer? 2 weeks probably. Thanks for the great feedback!

This was extremely delicious. We used it on chicken and BBQ'd it, the chicken was extremely juicy. I just put more in the fridge to marinade, will be a "go-to" for the summer for sure! Thank you 🙂
