Slow Cooker Ranch Pork Chops Without Canned Soup
These slow cooked pork chops are simple with just a few ingredients. We aren’t using canned soup because, honestly, I don’t use that as an ingredient a whole lot. But, if you are looking for the saucy canned soup type of pork chops (no judgement here) there are plenty of that style of recipe around the web.
Nope. We’re using pork chops, potatoes, olive oil, dry ranch mix, apple cider vinegar and butter. No special ingredients needed.
How Long Do Pork Chops Take To Cook In A Crockpot
Cooking on high heat you want to do approximately 3 hours. On low, 5-6 hours should do.
What Type Of Pork Chop Is Best For Slow Cooking
While this recipe can be made with bone-in or boneless pork chops, I’m gonna be honest, boneless chops are not the best for slow cooking.
The bone helps to keep the pork chops from drying out.
What Temp Should Pork Chops Be Cooked To
Check out this handy Pork Temperature Breakdown by Pork.org. Basically for pork chops you want the internal temp to reach 145ºF-160ºF. That is a wide range because it depends how you like your pork cooked, medium-rare to well.
With that being said, these slow cooked pork chops will definitely be cooked through.
In the above photo the pork chops have been seared to seal in the juices and make them look more appealing. Below is the ‘dump everything in the slow cooker’ method.
Either way works. But as stated, the pre-seared chops look much better when serving and retain a bit more juice. You choose depending on preference and the amount of time you have to prep.
