Why We Love Steak and Potatoes Sheet Pan Dinner

This Steak and Potatoes with Asparagus sheet pan recipe is a tasty and healthy meal option to keep your healthy eating goals on track. If you are not an asparagus fan, you can always replace them with green beans or any other vegetable you like.

It can be prepared very quickly. I usually make sheet pan meals because they are super easy to make and I have less dirty dishes to clean. Everything is cooked in one pan at the same time.

If you like to give the steaks a nice and crispy golden coat, you can always pan sear each side of your steak for a couple of minutes before placing them in the oven. This is actually a great step when you chose to cook it with thicker steaks. You can also replace the potatoes with sweet potatoes if you like for a healthier carb option.

How To Make Steak and Potatoes Sheet Pan

This has to be one of the easiest recipes I have ever posted on here. It’s as easy as adding spices to everything and then roasting it in the oven. The only thing you can do to speed up the recipe is to chop your potatoes and asparagus first.

Ingredients

Steak –I used Angus Ribeye Steak, which I grabbed from Walmart. I love the marbling the steak has. It makes it super tender and juicy after it’s prepared.

Onion Powder –I love the flavor of onion powder, it’s a must for other sheet pan recipes too.

Garlic Powder –You can use minced garlic instead.

Salt and Pepper –I prefer coarse salt and fresh-ground pepper

Potatoes –The golden potatoes are the perfect size for the sheet pan. You can also chop up sweet potatoes instead.

Asparagus –Use your favorite vegetables. I think the asparagus has a flavor that matches the steak perfectly.

If you decide to make it a super low carb meal, you can omit the potatoes and add zucchini and squash instead.

Steps

There are only a few steps in this super easy recipe.

First, mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl together.

Then, sprinkle the rub onto everything. The veggies, potatoes, and steak will all have the same rub.

Brush olive oil onto everything, then bake them in the oven.

That’s it! You can sprinkle some fresh parmesan on top if you want a little extra touch.

How To Give The Steak A Darker Color

Simply baking it in the oven won’t give you the crispy exterior that mine has. For that little extra-crisp, pan-sear it on the stove on both sides first. After it’s browned on all sides, bake it.
